Transfer Station Services and Fees

Tipping Fee:

Minimum Rate: $7.00 for up to 240 lb.
$60.00 per ton (2000 lb)

Items accepted include residential, commercial, and industrial waste. Special waste items, will be directed to the Muscatine County Landfill. Contact the Solid Waste Manager for details.

Appliances:
$10.00 per item: Includes refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, water heaters, dishwashers, stoves, ovens, microwaves, washing machines, and dishwashers.

$50.00 per item: Camper refrigerators

Tires:
$2.00 for car and light truck tires
$5.00 for truck tires
$12.00 for tractor tires

Electronic Waste:
$5.00 for computer monitors (up to 18 inches), CPU, and printers
$10.00 for televisions up to 18 inches
$15.00 for televisions over 18 inches and consoles

There are no charges for residents and a $5.00 per item for businesses for the following items: Computer scanners, VCR’s, DVD players, Stereos, Radios, Alarm clocks, Telephones, Cell phones, Video game players ( Example: Play Stations), and anything else with a circuit board.
