Pavement Markings – Each year, it is necessary to refresh the roadway striping and markers throughout the city. Visibility of pavement markings is important to preventing traffic accidents. Painting of street markings are contracted out on a yearly basis. In addition, the City of Muscatine has a small crew that will paint crosswalks and stop bars, as well as parking stalls.

Peterson Parking Lot Inc. of Carbon Cliff, Illinois is the contractor that was awarded the street striping project. They are shown here painting the double yellow lines on Park Drive.

Peterson Parking Lot Inc. paints arrows on the new asphalt overlay surface on Isett Avenue near Heinz.
