Hershey Avenue Sanitary and Storm
Sewer Separation – Contract 2

General Information – As of August 23, 2010: Langman is working on Hershey Avenue. They have two crews, one laying 48" pipe east of Main Street, back toward Green Street; and the second installing 30" pipe west of Main Street, at "Little" Busch. The second crew is installing an intake at Busch as I write this. Both crews are working on the storm sewer, the first priority.

Heuer is temporarily off the job, on other work. I was told they will be back on Wednesday, this week. Heuer placed concrete last week in the parking lane area of Mississippi Drive; and also formed and poured the top of the junction structure at Main Street.

Langman has the Main and Hershey intersection 95% ready to be paved, when Heuer returns. I believe the plan is to do that first. I would like to see Heuer finish Broadway, but I believe that is second on their list. Work on retaining walls continues. Two walls near Broadway started collapsing when the work adjacent to them was being done.
