Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department
The Muscatine Parks and Recreation system consists of many high quality facilities and programs. The Department is responsible for 16 parks each offering a host of amenities, an 18 diamond softball/baseball complex, a world-class, state of the art soccer complex, a multi-million dollar aquatic center, an 80 acre cemetery, an expansive riverfront including a boat harbor, marina, rentable banquet facilities and interactive water fountain. Also incorporated in the park system is an 18 hole municipal golf course, a skate park, many miles of walking/bike trails and a recreation division which is host to various special events, youth and adult programs throughout the year. The Parks and Recreation Department has a Recreation Advisory Commission whose seven members are appointed by the Mayor and approved by City Council. Current Recreation Advisory Commission members are:
