In 2009 the Muscatine Fire department responded to a total of 3,414 calls. Of these calls 3,066 were medical, 31 structure fires, 33 other fires (vehicles, trash etc), 124 false alarms, 3 mutual aids, 52 Hazmat (40) and other hazardous responses (12), and 105 other types of responses.
