MUSCATINE ASSOCIATION OF FIREFIGHTERS LOCAL # 608

MICHAEL R. KRUSE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

In 2002, the Muscatine Association of Firefighters Local # 608 created the Michael R. Kruse Memorial Scholarship Program in memory of Mike Kruse who died in the line of duty on September 14, 2002.

This scholarship is funded by donations that were given in memory of Mike Kruse and is awarded to a student that is entering a community college within the State of Iowa and majoring in the Fire Service or EMS.

Each year the Muscatine Association of Firefighters will offer a scholarship to a deserving student. The scholarship is to be $300.00, and will be paid one-half the first semester and one-half the second semester or as deemed by our board if student maintains a minimum of a 2.5 GPA.

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must live in Muscatine, Louisa, or Cedar County.

All applications and references must be submitted to the Muscatine Associations of Firefighters Local # 608 and be received no later than March 1st.
